Want to find short IDE cables.

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone out there knows of an online vendor that sells shorter than standard IDE cables? I'm finding that 18 inches is just too much to route in my case cleanly.

ATA 100 cabability would be preferred and I won't be using the slave connector. Hummm are cables available without slave connectors?

You can cut them your self. You can even adjust the length of the connectors. Here's (http://www.7volts.com/shorten.htm) one tutorial on how to do so

ok, i just finished my shortend rounded ide cable, pretty nice i think! way cheaper than 20 bucks from somewhere else!

Looks good, is it working well in your system? I might do one and test it using my DVD drive before attempting more. I want the short cables for a RAID setup so function is priority over form - however, 2 18" cables running a total of 6" looks like crap.
