Turok and Turok 2 were great on the pc. I'm glad their bringing it back.

I'm playing the demo as we speak:

It's horribly boring. I think I rather prefer Dino Crisis 2... at least there was a bit more excitement. Dinosaurs smashing through the windows ans such.

Here raptors just knock you on your ass in the same animation over and over again. At the very least they could knock you into a wall or bite you instead... no such luck.

Your partner is an ***hole and it tries too hard to be like Gears of War. (Why does EVERY game want to be Gears of War now?)

It's sad... and sort of silly... and the aiming is atrocious.

I like both Area 51 and The Darkness. Well, Area 51 is ok, just like Turok. Im enjoying it, but it isnt the greatest game of all time.

dammit.... the last good Turok was Turok 2 for N64. I tried the Turok for gamecube (sucked). And now this one sucks?

Making a turok game is simple.

-Huge dinosaurs, and tons of them
-Ridiculous weaponry. Throw in a Chronoscepter and a Fusion Cannon with insane charge times for instant win.
-The whole point is that turok is an indian or native american, or at least kinda ethnic. Come on now.
-Honestly, the game should play more like a Ratchet & Clank than a Gears of War. Gears of War did it well, and from what I've heard and seen, Turok does not.
-Some help with aiming would be cool.

It's the copy-cat mentality in gaming. In my opinion Street Fighter 2 and Doom simultaneously elevated and doomed gaming. Because everything that came after it had to be a fighting game or a first person shooter.

So now you got gears... and every third person shooter wants to be gears. Even Unreal Tournament 3 looks suspiciously like Gears. And it's only going to get worse I'm afraid.

The copy cats seldom live up to the originals.

Fortunately there's still games like Devil May Cry 4.

Wow I rented this the other day and I have to agree with everyone that it sucks sucks sucks. I was going to keep playing though and beat it but I could not bring myslef to waste that kind of time on an unenjoyable game.

But like rainman said, we have Devil May Cry 4 :)

Well UT3 and Gears were both made by the same developer, using the same game engine...

I would not call it suspicious or a conspiracy...
