I was thinking of using some artic alumina to fill the gaps and then some conductive paint..

Anyone has ever used artic alumina? Is it hard enough?

Or should I use silicon to fill the gaps?

A friend of mine filled the gaps with that thing women use to paint their fingernails... donīt know the name of that..

Errr ... someone please correct me if I am wrong here, but I thought that while Artic Silver did not conduct electricty, that Artic Alumina DID.

If so, it would be the last thing to use for such a job.

Check the vendors web site, or WAIT for more info from others here.

I also think that, like the permanent silver, the perminent alumina is an epoxy based substance. This would make corrections/removal very hard ... (opps, my first pun on this board!).:o

Arctic Alumina is non-conductive & non-capacitive. Look here (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?threadid=53394) for another way.
