Hey all!
Been toying with the idea of replacing my winter HSF - Volcano 6Cu and CAK38 (summer HSF) with a replace all season Dr.Thermal V77
I can't seem to get any straight data tests or c/w info. Some reviews make it out to be an incredible HSF

others call it a dog...
Some say it is easily modded to any size fan...others say its difficult. I sure as hell like that clip system though... :D
Anyone have any clear answers?

Hi Angryviking, welcome to the Forum,
Onestly I really don't know this HeatSink, but if you're looking for an High Performance cooler, I suggest you a ThermalRight SK6 with Delta 38Cfm, or better 50Cfm (60x60x35mm), preferribly @7v, coz really noisy @12v, a Millenium Glaciator II (quiet) or an Alpha Pal8045, like the Swiftech MC462A or MCX462, that use the four hole on the Mobo to mount on the Socket (really great), but you have to check the Mobo compatibility, coz sometimes there's not enough room around the Socket to fit properly (take a look here (http://www.micforg.co.jp/mb_inf_pal8045e.html) for the Pal compatibility)
I hope it helps you ;)

Thanks for the reply. :D
I have seen good reviews of the SK6- I would love to get my hands on this one. It all comes down to availability though...
Sure I could order one online; unfortunately, with Canadian taxes and such, I would end up paying 3 times what it was worth by the time I got it ! Ask me how I know this...:(
If I could actually get one, I am sure it would fit on my mobo.

I understand, for me is the same, and the shipping costs are much more expensive!
Don't worry, here on the Forums there a lot of Canadian's guys & gals that will give you the right info to find this HeatSink, like for the others, at a rasonable price, if you want :)
