Welcome Funkyoneboy :welcome:

Be patient someone will respond...unfortunately I'm an ASUS user so I'm not too familair Gigabyte

you might start bumping up the FSB in 10Mhz steps, watch your temps and get a new cooler as soon as possilbe, might want to stay away from uping the Vcore until you upgrade your cooling.

- Hit CTRL F1 on bios startup so you can set memory
- set spd 1:1 (2.0x)
- use max voltages for memory first [default voltage i think is 1.8 so ...]
- add +0.1 to fsb, mch/all to add the stability
- test, test test each 10Mhz increase: - orthos 5-30min, and memtest a few rounds.
[i just do a short test first, then do longer ones when i settle on a good speed].

Always monitor temps: use coretemp.
orthos test - use short FFTs to stress test the overclock.

dont TOUCH the voltages with the stock heatsink... AT ALL.. my e4300 in my p35 ds3l is burning up and im at 3.0ghz undervolted... using a stock E6600 cooler :bang head
