I'm thinking about buying the european version of a game. Any downfalls to this or other things I should know about?
TIA

For PC or console? If on console it may not play in a North American console. I think that both the PS3 and 360 have region encoding for their games. If you are buying for either of those systems you should investigate.

There's no restriction on PC I don't believe. As long as you can read the instructions your fine.
BTW what game?

No problems with EU games... unless you buy them in a country with a different language. Then you'd have to play it in that language.

just a heads up, even thought you said England, Many German games are censored for violence, just as CSS.

You can't have it delivered from Amazon.uk

They only deliver to EU just like Amazon.com only delivers to north america.

OK, Thanks. I've never purchased an item from out of country before so I wanted to make sure there weren't any drawbacks.

Ah well, Amazon shot me down. If I'm understanding this correctly PC software can't be shipped to my address = USA.
