And why?

I have enough to get the g92, but is it really worth it?

Play cod2,cod4 some others.

1920*1200 res on my 24" WS

Price to performance ratio. I think a bunch of ppl will jump on the 512 gts wagon, but I want to know why, and what HUGE increases Ill see.

Thanks,
Tyler

You probably won't see HUGE increases. Expecting them might be a bit unrealistic. That being said, gaming on 1920x1200, I would definitely get the GTS.

GTS - higher overclocks on the stock cooler.

my 24/7 overclock is 800core/1100mem - all i did was turn tha fan speed up via riva tuner.

not many GT's ca run 800 outta the box un-modded.

Both the GTS and GT are based on the new nVidia G92 core, the GTS has a better memory controller that allows for more OC on memory, overall the GTS OC better on core, shaders and memory.

With the GT the max I got was 761/1825/1000 and with the GTS 800/2000/1000 is quite achievable even with the stock cooler, the stock cooler on the GTS is a dual slot cooler that vents out the back and as such gives you the added benefit of more effective cooling over the GT which has a very simple single slot cooler.

That all said performance wise say in the games you want to play the GT is IMO sufficient. Even in the toughest game Crysis the GTS only gives you about 5-8 FPS more than the GT which does not make that big difference as on very high setting in DX9 the max ave I got was 42 FPS which is not all that great.

If you have the money go for the GTS, a great card and OC % in huge, if you need some cash to spend on RAM or better CPU or not really into pushing cards as far as OCing is concerned, go for the GT

I have both and actually cannot really decide which I want to keep in the long run. :)
