I cannot change the Display from 640x480 (16 color) to any other setting(not even to 256 color)! Each attempt results in the following message upon rebooting: "Display - There is a problem with your diplay settings. The adapter type is incorrect, or the current settings do not work with your hardware." It appears that the Adapter tab correctly shows ATI Radeon and the Monitor tab correctly shows my monitor.
My system specifics are:
- Abit KT7A-Raid (stripe 0 using 2x Western Digital 40MB ATA/100 hard drives)
- AMD 1.2Gzh (133) tbird
- 3 x 256 Crucial PC133 CAS2 RAM
- Win98se
- ATI Radeon 64MB DDR w/vivo
- Samsung SyncMaster 950p monitor
I have loaded the most recent Via4in1 drivers (4.37) and the (next to latest) Radeon driver - 4.13.7075.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom O.

Any previous nvidia drivers still on your system ? IfIf so d/l detonator destoyer and run it. Also I had the Radeon 64 DDR vivo, great card, best oclock was 245/490. The best driver I found for that card was the 7530 win 2K driver if you use win 2K or XP you can get it at http://www.omegacorner.com/

Best solution you prolly do not want to hear, format, always gives best results when adding/installing new vid card. Partiton you drive so you have enough space to back up critical files and format the one partition, install new os. OOOPs see you are running raid 0..... Also get the newest agp mini port driver 4.10. That may help ...

Thats about all I can suggest it is a weird prob you got.

Sounds definately like an old driver is kicking around. Uninstall your old drivers from the control panel if you can. Then try installing the new ones in safemode.

That might help.
