Assuming you can get a *new* batch of these cD0 chips (something from late november or december), which of these are the better buy ? The power leap adapter sucks for P3-S/Cel 1.2, and I don't have any wiring experience at all, no tools, and I get headaches and dizziness from reading wiring charts, so I do not want to look into a Powerleap solution for my bx board.
Any good overclocks with the newest 1000e chips?
both chips seem to be good overclockers
many people are using the 1000E and most seem to be hitting 133FSB or above. There are only a few of us using the 1100E but the results are promising. Mine is running @ 1342 right now with voltage at default and most are running above 1300.
My chip is only a week or two old and I burned in at 66Mhz FSB with voltage at 1.95. And I just switched boards this week too

I have seen just about any of 1000E SL5QV owners rockin n rolling@ 10 x 133fsb. Some doing upper 1300s. And so far, I am the only one who oc'ed the highest w/air(see siggy below). Last time I saw Auky was doing 1360 and "Diamond stable". Some others in this forum are doing 1333 easily so you may have potential going higher. All this assuming you have the good HSF and case cooling setup.
The P3 1.1Ghz SL5QW oc okay. I haven't seen many doing 133fsb or over. I don't think they can go much higher than 133fsb.. You would get more benefit on the bus speed/memory bandwidth performance with the 1000E's. FSB wise, 1000E's oc higher. It's obvious unless somebody gimme some 140+fsb with their 1100E's. ;)

Onve you get into the 120MHz fsb's on the tusl2 also you are going to have problems. The board is meant for the dump!

Too bad I don't have a slot1 mb. Is there anything like this for a socket 370 mb?

Well, if not available on the PowerLeap Website I suppose there aren't way to go, but what kind of Cpu & Mobo are you using now?
mikyseee.....Powerleap has the Neo adapter for socket 370 to FCPGA...but you mobo must have voltage adjustment

I have an Abit BX133 with P3 700@960.
if its a socket 370 FCPGA board then there is no current upgrade...if its a slot 1 then this http://www.powerleap.com/Products/iP3T.htm is the only current upgrade

Well, at this point you can only plan to go with a P/// 1000 or 1100E series, with Fsb@100Mhz, that assures really good OC results ;)
