I am building my dad a new system, he already has a relatively new Antec Neo HE 430 in his current pc, a Pentium 4 HT @ 3.2GHz socket 478 with a 9800Pro.

The new system is:
E6550 which I am going to OC to about 3.2Ghz
Gigabyte P35-DS3R
2gb Mushkin 6400 4-5-4-8
ATI X2600XT 512mb
2- 80gb Sata MAxtor drives in RAID 0
1- DVDRW
and a few fans.

Think the Neo HE430 can take it with the CPU@ 3.2GHz?

Your gonna want better rams. (crucial ballistix)
HD3450 for GFX or HD3650

The NEO HE is a cheap seasonic build, but it should do.

For the price, the ram cannot be beat, it was like 50 bucks. Plus in reviews that memory hit DDR1000 with stock timings and a nudge of voltage.

I should have gotten the 3650 but It's already ordered so.....

Great guys thanks alot.
my dad does not want to be putting out alot of money but he was using a socket 478 system so I used the old "your PC is getting old and firefox and email will run sooo much faster" on him to buy the new parts. Plus I can play with the E6550 and sh how it benches in my rig.

The gigabyte board P35-DS3R is a good over clocker so I plan on OCing the 6550 as far as possible on the stock cooler until I can get the mounting brackets for the Zalman 7700AlCu.
