Well I was told that since I mostly game, I should figure out what GPU I'm using and build around that. We'll I havent been able to figure that quite out yet so here I am.

I did some reading on wikipedia to figure out some things (like wtf SLI did/meant) and after seeing this, and that pretty much cemented the mobo in my head (of course after reading a decent number of product reviews, of it and its competition).

Ideally I want the machine I build to be a monster, so after some browsing GPU's I figured I really want 2 8800GTX's buuut I can't afford to drop 900$ on parts atm (or any time soon for that matter).

So to the question and the reason for my post.

Should I wait until I have the money for the GTX's (could be MONTHS), or should I look for lower end parts and take advantage of the 3 SLI?

If go lower, any ideas what I should be looking for?

Can you afford a pair of G92 8800GTS 512mb cards. $270 per card after rebate here:

That will certainly be easier but will still take a good amount of time.

Perhaps I can find some of them cheaper on ebay or craigslist ^^

If this is out of your price range then I highly suggest you go w/ a cheaper P35 board, and 1 GTS-512. You'll get 60+fps w/ max settings in almost every game (except Crysis).

And, if this is your 1st build I'd steer clear of SLI. A lot of unnecessary headaches for the uninitiated.
