looks at the corsair TX550 or TX650 they have mir's on newegg atm...

the 550VX has a 20 MIR, just be aware that you wont be able to SLI if you want with that mobo.

you cant even run sli on a P35 board so the PSU is not a issue.

Well dam. I wanted to leave that option open for the future. Im glad you brought that to my attention. Im just about at the top of my spending limit. What is a good SLI capable board that does not cost a ton more? Im not concerned with onboard audio or video so dont worry about taking those into consideration for recomendation. thanks a ton man. Saved me the hassle of trying to return or just live with it.

We gave him the same option but i forgot the 550 was a VX not TX like the 650. either way he can run SLI'd cards on the 650TC and might push it on the 55VX.

Op if you want sli the only real way to go for it is 780i motherboard. other wise go X38 with crossfire.

This may be a noob question but Crossfire is an ATI thing, correct? Would I have to run an ATI card with that? If so I would go with the 3870

yes crossfire is for ATI 3870 is a good option for the price, if you could stretch it to $445 you can get the 3780X2. which is 3870's already in Crossfire just on one board.

for the 3870x2 you do not need a board that is crossfire certified. cause the card it self is setup hardware wise(actaully on the card) to be in crossfire.

The PCIe 1.0 16x slot will bottleneck cards coming out roughly 2 years from now, give or take 6 months.

no it doesnt have to be pcie 2.0 for the card to work.. if you want a board with a single pcie 2.0 slot. wait a what like 1-2 months for P45 to come out.

My new list is now this, Changed MB and graphics card. Will add another of the same card in a few months.
