i already got in on the ICD7 giveaway here... tbh wasnt that impressed with the stuff, and it was much harder to apply than as5 and temp improvements were nill.

From the results it looks like you were one of the exceptions
I would read the last page last two posts - probably not enough pressure

could possibly be pressure not spreading it enough... its almost like playdough... although when i unmounted the hs it was spread over the entire surface of the actual hs (stock intel e6600 hs)

for sure... i heated mine up under a hot halogen lamp before i applied... definetly was alot easier and spread nicer than if its room temp.
Actually with any TIM is probably better to heat it up. With AS5 if i want a super good application, i heat up the AS5 heatsink and core with a blow dryer... the heat makes is spread like hot butter.

Cool, thanks for the advice. After reading the last thread about this compound, I figured it was a PITA to spread it.
Heh, thanks for the heating tip. I actually tried to use some last week. I wound up scraping it off and just using AS5. Perhaps when I switch my water blocks, I'll be able to give this a real try.
