Well, I probably already know what is going to be said, but I'll ask anyway.
Is it worth the trouble to clean a floppy drive?
I have several that were pulled from old 486 systems and were in a very nasty environment. Pizza parlor to be exact. They are very dirty and smelly.
Throw them in "el trasho"??

Well, floppy drives aren't worth that much. Chances are that they won't last long if they're all greasy.

Maybe salvage the best of the best and toss the rest.

I'd just go buy one for $10 if I had the money to spare. They're pretty cheap. Don't risk with the others, either.

I got one apart and decided it wasn't worth it. Threw it in the trash can and the smell was so bad I had to bag it and get it out of here.

Sorry Shadow, they are not worth the money to send them!!

Maybe I'll order the deal I saw here. Floppy & cd-rom for a 20 dollar bill!
