No sound from center channel z-5500

I hear a faint hiss so I know it's hooked up properly. This is through the standard surrond stuff on my Lanparty. It's properly detecting left and right.

When I turn down surround to nothing and watch a movie I hear absolutely no sound from the center channel at all, just the hiss.

I did the "test speakers" and when I blew air in to the mic I heard stuff coming from center channel.

I have it set to 5.1 in control panel - Sound.


All voice it seems is running in quadraphonic.

Help?

Uh pretty sure this couldn't get any weirder but it is. It seems the center is working fine however now the front right is doing the same thing.

Can you try it on another computer? Or try switching the plugs around to see if it is the computer or the speakers.

Meh. I reinstalled the drivers and it works fine now.

Why would you return them, they are awesome speakers.

Ever listen to music through them? In 2.1 they just sound so muddy and terrible it's unreal.


I decided I'm probably going to keep them and just get a pair of good headphones for music/gaming and use these for movies.

Once you get them setup correctly they're fine. Sure, not as good as a HT setup, but they are still nice sounding speakers.
