View Full Version : Front Panel yes, Back Panel no

Guys

On the machine below a strange sound problem exists, when the average 2.0 speaker green cable is plugged into the green port on the motherboard there is no sound at all, yet when i plug the same cable into the headfone jack at the front panel the speakers come to life....it uses realtek software and the frontpanel should not even be detected as i have that box checked.....and all this time i hear nothing i can double click the volume button in the system tray and there is a green bar bouncing up and down to the music.....anyone any ideas????

Right click the Realtek HD Audio Manager thing in the taskbar, if you have it there, click Sound Manager, and the Audio I/O tab. Click the green one, and make sure it's set to Line Out.
