Hi

I'm interest by this Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 is it a good board to do overclocking? (The gigabyte is a bit expensive)

I'm open for other board suggestion who can make overclocking with it. I'm look to board max 200$ or lower.

Tanks

i have one and it is running my E8400 at 500 FSB without any problems at all. I'm quite happy with it.

What did you get out of this FSB speed?

Are you going to run a dual core or a quad core? You might want to consider a P45-based board instead.

Well, im trying to leverage what i got. A mb change is a big change, chip and ram is easy. So Im looking at a Q9650, but not worth the bother unless there a good chance i can overclock close to 4 gig.

If i gotta change the mb, then i might as well go for more modern platform.

45nm quad = p45
everything else = p35/x38 or p45
