Ok, I have a Tbird 1.4 comming in soon and I need a good cooler...im really leaning towards the SK6 because I can't spend the cash for a monster Alpha or Swiftech and it looks sweet.

I have read many reviews of the SK6 and they say its really good, but I haven't read any on the CAK-II38 because it has just came out.

Or should I go for some other cooler?
Kinda point me in the right direction...TIA:D

You know Svc always sells the high end Alpha on Ebay, usually he sells several a week there at a discount.

Just my .02 cents as http://www.svcompucycle.com/ is an awesome vendor

Hi FrankMasterFlash,
Personally I'm very satisfied by the cooling performance of the SK6 with Delta 50Cfm@7v, no above 36-37 degree C @full load on a XP1700+@1.6Ghz 1.8v, but for sure another good way to go is the Millenium Glaciator II, even if not yet tested.

*EDITED: I've forgot to say that the ambient temp is around 19-20 degree C!

I have two SK6's on my system with delta 50cfm's at 7v as well. Very quiet and temp stay below 40c. They are some very effective sinks with a great design.

sk6 all the way....

kind of off subject, but do you all think it would be a good idea to get the new swifty without a fan on top, and then just order a panaflow high speed?? it puts out 40 cfm @32.5 db....good idea???

Hi RangerJoe,
Probably, but you have to consider that it mount in origin a 68Cfm fan, so it's a good idea to think to a blowhole to improve the cooling performance, and if still isn't enough, well, you can use the Panaflow for the case cooling and go with a more performant fan :)

Definately SK6 !

Have you ever used a Globalwin clip ?

Even the most careful person can crush a core with one of those!
