alright, i was looking around on pricewatch today....i was just wondering why there are no retail radeons....i like it how geforce cards are sold by alot of diff companies....more choices that way. do any of you think ATI should start selling their chips to retailers in order to better the cards, or to just get some more variety in there?

ATI is selling their chips for the 8500 to different companies to produce... just not the other/older cards. They will probably continue doing this in the future as well.

Pinky Not only that but ATI is allowing Gigabyte to produce a line of RETAIL cards that actually are better than ATI's Retail cards.

Pretty funny if Gigabyte picks up the ball and produces drivers which ATI is enept at doing.

The Gigabyte has faster memory and hardware monitoring
