CPU Bottleneck?

Hi,

If I use a e2160 OC'ed to 3.0Ghz minimum (aiming for 3.6Ghz), what graphics card should I get for 1280x1024 res with full eye candy, and 1600x1200 with full eye candy?

Depends on the game.

In general, your answers would go:
1280x1024 = 3850 512mb
1600x1200 = 3870 512mb
Crysis at 1600x1200 = 3870X2 1Gb

Speaking from experience, most games will be ok with a single card at all high settings (perhaps without AA, or low AA). On the other hand, Crysis at 1600x1200 needs more power than any single ATI GPU is capable of providing right now. My Crossfired pair of 3870's do just fine with Crysis all high settings , but with the obvious exception of AA.
