Im thinking of getting an Alpha PAL8045 to cool down an Athlon XP 1800+. Im looking for some quite fans which will allow overclocking. Those Delta's are just way too loud and I need something I could sleep through without hearing jet engines. Which quiet, yet powerfull fans would you recommend which will allow overclocking?

You'll need to get a 80mm or 92mm with a "transition" which allows you to fit these fans to your 60mm HS. I would go with an Enermax or Sunon. Look throught the different sites and look for the highest airflow that has the lowest dba. The Enermax 92mm has a variable fanwhich will allow you turn it up or down depending on what you need.
You could get a 120mm and make your own "transition" (sorry, I can't remember the proper name right now). You can make these out of sheet metal flashing, plastic or even cardboard (with I wouldn't recomend). Hope this helps a little.

The Alpha already fits 80mm fans. Thanks for those links. Any other ideas people?

For ultra quiet 80mm:

This probably wouldn't be enough for overclocking though.
QuietPC has a 92mm fan that is silent (20 DBA) with 40 CFM:

Thanks for all the ideas. After research, Im thinking of sticking with the Sunon 80mm Super High Output fan. It does 50cfm at 40dba. So its much quiter then the Delta but still pretty powerful.
