vista, hdmi, 1920x1200???

hi all, at the moment i'm running my monitor (Benq FP241W) using a dvi to hdmi cable (dvi to gc, hdmi to monitor). for some reason i cant get it to display 1920x1200, the max resolution seems to be 1920x1080. when using dvi to dvi cable, i can select 1920x1200. surely hdmi should also support this res as its the monitors native res. using a 8800gt 512mb if that helps. thanks

It might be a driver issue, I'm running my 24 inch at 1920x1200 with a dvi/hdmi cable.

i know in xps latest drivers i could add custom resolutions, cant seem to find that option in vista.

I wonder if Powerstrip would help?

Have you updated Vista as far as it would go?

i've tried powerstrip, but it seems to always crash............ as for updates, i've installed everything that is available on windows update inc sp1. any more ideas?
