Hm not sure, but blizzard's games are never really graphics intensive. Plus it's an RTS, it won't need that much graphics power at all imo.
I'm thinking my 8800GT should be able to dominate it when it comes out.

There have been plenty of RTS games that are GPU intensive. B&W2 comes to mind. And Supreme Commander as well. Infact COH takes a decent amount of GPU as well.

Well I guess my comment on RTS's not being that GPU intensive was wrong =D
But look at every blizzard game ever released, they all have those classic cartoony type models that don't really take that much GPU power.
My 8800GT runs world of warcraft (their latest game) over 100FPS at all times without breaking a sweat.
The only thing really new I saw in the starcraft 2 previews were that units can move in three dimensions over terrain and they have an improved physics engine, but other than that it looked pretty similiar to warcraft 3.
so its doubtfull they will support it, but is possible to force crossfire and still het a benifit?

What I'm trying to say is that there is no reason to support crossfire, I'm assuming an HD3850 could play starcraft 2 at full graphics without a sweat.
If CrossFire and SLI work in World of Warcraft, I'm sure they'll work in StarCraft 2.

Actually WC3 was pretty graphics intensive for its time. I had a friend who ran it at high and was not breaking 60 frames. Take this with a grain of salt though. This was quite a few years ago.
I only posted thsi becuase I think cf could be needed in high res and 16x af ultra high detail.
So i hope they support it!

just because it is cartoony doesnt mean it doesnt use the GPU, with RTS once you enable AA and AF, it has to apply it to every single little object on screen, this is what kills it, having hundreds of little items on screen all getting aa and af applied to it.

I don't see why crossfire/SLI wouldn't be supported.
Even though SC2 doesn't seem like it will push any hardware boundaries and a single 8800GT or HD3780 will run the game fine, being able to play at 1900x1200 w/ 16 ansio/8 aa/max detatil and >75fps will likely take more horsepower.
