View Full Version : 8800GTX could it be broken?
Okay so i got my 8800GTX about 2 weeks ago.
everything was great and it ran crysis on Very High, 1280 x 1024, no AA.
And i was hitting about 45 FPS average.
Now today i go back onto crysis and im bearly managing to hit 13FPS.
Should i send me card back?

What temperature is it running at? Same resolution? Same settings?
Is it running the same speed? Can you post a CPU-z screen shot of the mainboard tab so that we can see you "Link Width"?
Temp is about 60.
Same Resolution
Same Settings
Running speed is the default.

Are there any other applications running in the background? Processor is at the same speed?
I know I'm missing something here...
:sn: edit: Check the link width immediately after exiting the game (if it runs poorly) to see if it is Link Width issue.
No applications running in the background.
Processor is Oc'ed to 3.2Ghz but it worked fine with cpu Oc'ed anyway.
I did install rivatuner but did not mess with clock speeds or anything.
ON rivatuner it doesnt even show clock speeds it just says N/A

Start the game and leave the monitor tool open, exit then post a screenshot, I might see the issue...
There you go.
Shouldnt the clock speeds be 576 Mhz/1800 Mhz not 396/1188Mhz

http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/9308/crysisap1.jpgYes, you are correct :)
In RivaTuner, go to the bottom "menu" and click on the first link. Enable driver clocking. Go to 3D High performance. See what they are set to.
I click enable and then Detect Now and it doesnt enable it.
And it keeps doing this process even rebooting does not work.
Both are set to N/A
EDIT: I had the wrong monitor selected speeds are below.
Core Clock: 576
Link Clocks 290Mhz
Shader Clock: 1350
Memory clock: 900
Okay switching monitors on rivatuner has done it.
But my FPS is still resonably low. Im hitting about 25 on average.
What type of FPS should i be getting with my rig on crysis. Should get another 8800GTX tomorrow :) i hope that helps improve FPS.

why does it say generic monitor?
you should install specific drivers.
