heres a tip for putting these on cables

connect them and leave extra at the ends until you are finished then cut it off dont just try to cut it to length it will be off

I've found lighters work best for the heat shrink tubing. Unless you need a heat gun for something, don't bother buying one. I've found that for most things the high setting of a blow dryer will work just fine in place of a heat gun and that a lighter shrinks the material even more.

yea I use one of those torch lighters and direct the point of the flame where I want it for about 1 sec or so and it shrinks the shrink tube fast and into places where it is hard to get a normal flame without burning everything around it

I ordered a black cable sleeving kit from performance pcs and it worked out alright. You need to be able to remove the connectors for some things to get the best looking job done imo. I agree with using a lighter to shrink the tubing, fast and works great.

I will assure you that all sleeving is not created equal.

You want TechFlex...It is easily better than any other brand I have used...And I have used them all.

Performance PC's sell the TechFlex kits and by the foot.

Do yourself a big favor and do not buy anything but TechFlex...It is much easier to work with versus other brands and even the heatshrink is heads and shoulder above what comes in other kits.
