View Full Version : nVidia 8200 mGPU.
I'm kind of surprised no one has posted anything about it yet (if I missed it, sorry!). But it looks like the next best thing in an integrated HTPC solution.
I'll let the preview explain the details...
The nVidia 8200 mGPU (http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1295/nvidia_geforce_8200_preview_palit_n78s/index.html) (product reviewed is the Palit N78S, but just pay attention to the 8200 feature set).

anyone has any idea when is this chipset's intel version and/or intel's new G45 chipset will be out?? I'm holding out another htpc client build for my dedicate home theater for those chipset.....
I am in the same boat.
From what I have read, the AMD 8200 version was delayed b/c of driver issues with final review samples appearing in mid to late April. Since I have heard nothing about the Intel versions, I am assuming no sooner than mid May.
I have not read anything about Intel's G45. I know its better than the G35, but thats not saying much. I'm not sure if I trust intel on the HD-acceleration side anyways. :)
In my opinion, the best option right now is a 780G based board. Of course this means you will need to put your differences aside and buy a Phenom. :bday:
