Well, the boyz down at best comp have gotten ahold of a XP2000+ processor and have gotten some overclocking results. Unfortuneatly, the processor would not be stable enough @ defualt 1.75V with 1.8GHz so they had to bring it down to 1.73GHz to achieve stability. :( This is by far some of the worst overclocking I've ever heard of. When upping the Voltage to 1.85V, they achieved stability @ 1.8GHz (13.5x133.33).

O/C Results=
-----------------

XP1800+ = 1667MHz Defualt with a 133MHz increase.

XP1900+ = 1733MHz Defualt with a 133MHz increase.

XP2000+ = 1733MHz Defualt with only 66MHz increase.

yea, yea, I know, there not aloud to start selling the processor till January 7th, but whos gonna buy these dirty chips anyway?? With that poor overclocking, these chips will sure bomb in value segment!

Here is a picture of an XP2000+ for curious viewers.

Where did you get that XP processor from...

Also... What kinda heatsink you using..

Does the Celron wire trick to make the VCORE Higher work on the AMD Processor's?

No that wire trick doesn't work, he doesn't have the chip either.

I'm waiting for the thoroughbred that AXIA found.

I had already come to the conclusion that they reached their limits, I think the 1800+ overclocks better than the 1900+ and is a better buy....could it be that even the 1500+ is just as capable as the 2000+ ?

My 1600 can post 1750mhz, I am not sure if it would run stable because my memory is so bad, I want to unlock it to see what it can do.

That's interesting.......A lot of people have'nt been able to get any better overclocks than that with the 1900+, of course memory or other components may be holding them back but I wonder just how far you'll get that 1600 with stability.........hmmmmm

Well it is really hard for me to say. I have done tests on my system and i know that somewher around 42mhz on my PCI something doesn't work.. and at 1750 I am running 166mhz /4 (41.5 mhz pci) so it could be my pci or my memory. I am running micron OEM cas2.5, I am waiting for xms2400 to come down in price or for some xms2700 to come out. But I am pretty sure with a volt a mod the 1600 will load windows at 1750... no problem with some good memory...

The weird thing is, I don't know what PCI is causing problems. All the parts in this computer are from my other computer, except the IBM hard drives. I had that system runing at 133/3 no problem. I thought IBM harddrives overclocked well? anyone know?

You said that in you;re other rig they were running at 133/33? If so then the reason why there dodgy now is there oc'ed!!!

Doesn't your board have a PCI divider???

Sometimes a re-format does the trick if you're getting a few BSOD's even when back to default!

My other computer was running all these components at 133/3 for 44.1mhz PCI. I don't know why they won't run at this speed in my new computer, they give out at 42mhz PCI , and won't do 44.1 like they did in the other computer. Yes, I have the 1/4 divider but if your system can handle the 1/3 it's faster for your hard drives.

Thanks allot for posting this AXIA.

I think ill buy a XP-1600 or 1700 and save up some money for a thoroughbread for a few months time.

Of course my CPU will be gettin 2v and watercooling so im hoping for 1800mhz.

Well currently my chip is running stable at 1607mhz at 1.800v so XP1900+ from XP1600+ can't complain at all. Once I unlock it, or get better memory XP2000+ shouldn't be a problem. The 1600's are a good buy!

eh?
