Ok I'm using Charter Pipeline Silver package a download speed of 256. They also have the Gold package that has a download speed of 768 and now they have a new one called the Platinum with a download speed of 1,500. Should I go ahead and upgrade to the Platinum package. Is it worth it. I download songs and do on-line gamer as well.

If you can afford it get the faster one. I got 512 dsl and thought I was happy with it until I got 1.5M cable. Games are better, downloads are phenomenal.

You'll always be happier with the bigger pipe.

Yes it will probably be worth it. I am trying to do the same thing, because with 4 other users in the house, i need more bandwidth.

I'd say it gets down to the old bang for the buck questions:
How much more does it cost? How much faster will it (really) be? How much do I really want it?

I'd have to think about it long and hard. Like maybe almost a minute:D

$10 for a bigger pipe? You just about HAVE to do it!

I probably lose that much change out of my pockets every month!

Now you'll need a bigger hard drive for all those additional mp3s you'll be d/ling!

1.5 rocks. Definately worth it. Plus, then when you are downloading something huge, you won't kick yourself for not getting the best possible speed...
