What is an acceptable temperature for a 7200RPM SATA drive?

well running 1 250 GB 7200 16mb cache..its running as os at 37C, i took off the fan that suppose to cool it n use it for video card..

Hmm. My RAID drives don't report temps, but the other 2 are steady at 50C. Maybe I have a problem.

50C is alot i think raptor drives go around there..dedicated a fan to the hd's

my raptor runs around 28-32C.

I think 50C is a bit on the high side, but not in the danger zone yet. My 8 raptors in raid 10 run around 38-44C last time I put a probe to them.

My Raptors run at 28C with an front 80mm case fan blowing on them.. About 34C with the fan off. 50C is pretty warm, I'd definately consider a fan or better case flow.
