Though I'd post some preliminary results after FINALLY putting some chipset coolers on:

I installed chipset coolers, using thermal tape, on 3 mobos tonight, and they look good!
All 3 are showing a mobo temp drop of 2c or 3c, which is more than I had expected! case temp has dropped in two of the rigs, and cpu temp has gone with it: this pc has been running 22c case, 23c mobo and 44c cpu; now its @21 case 20/21 mobo and 43c cpu!

Unfortunately, I'm engaged in an informal "Seti Race" and have agreed to not up my system parameters for a while!

But soon............MORE FSB! ( I hope):D

you should change the frag tape to something more lasting, artic silver do an epoxy or you can make your own here http://www.overclockers.com/tips683/

I thought about that last night when I was doing it:beer:

But I decided to try one to see what kind of effect it would have the tape first: temps went down, so I wkept going!

Since I won't be adjusting anything for a while anyway, just the change I have now is good.........When its time to up speeds a bit, I'll get some stuff together and do exactly that!

Good article, btw, thanks for the link!
