What FSB is it..?
Do you think Via KT266/KT266A supports it??
Post your reply now!
i think the thoroughbred cpus are going under the same name as the athlon xps so i would guess 266 and probly have the same support as the palamino core but this is just a guess i could be wrong

It has got to have an 166.66MHzX2 333.33MHz DDR FSB for shure! I really dought that they will work with any of today's AMD Motherboards or Chipsets! :eh?:

My KT133 mobo has an option for a 133MHz FSB in the BIOS, but I haven't tested it with a 133 CPU.
As for my guesses at the Thouroghbred, I would say that it will be a 333 or 266 FSB, perhaps 512k of L2 cache (to compete with the Northwood P4s) and will use either Socket A or similar PGA format. I would imagine that for newer boards only a BIOS update would be needed for KT266A or SiS745, AMD 76x etc chipsets

THe thoroughbred (look at thread XP 2000/2100+ here in January by AXIA can't link it for some reason) it is a 1.8Ghz CPU that fits socket A 266FSB with a .13Micron process, runs at 1.65V and will hit 2Ghz at 1.65V, and about 2.4Ghz at 1.85V.
Look at the thread for info!
