It is amazing what happenes when your mind is tired and you have insomnia. I found the problem simple removed the printer in device manager. Funny considering HP's software has a program taht removes the printer's software. But I guess till I removed the printer in device manager the OS wouldnt recognize the connection made by USB. WEEEE I can print again!
Ok like said above I am running this printer on my system #1 with WinME.
Now I am having problems installing driver and also had problems the second time I installed (this being the third time) the driver. Second time involved me calling customer service, its way past warranty now.
Basically I have no install CD. But that is not where the problem starts.
To connect the printer via USB you need to start the computer then plug the USB cable in with the printer on. The computer will recognize the printer and start to prompt the user. Well this isnt working. The printer is not being recognized. I forget the order that I used the second time installing the printer. But basically we got ourselves to the proper install setup page and it continued from there.
Any help or questions?
