2k is good IMHO, may take longer to boot but but it has more security and stablility and it has lots more options that i like. i like the task manager and the new defragmenter too. just to name a few. good luck!

Unix is free too! try that better for resume.
Win2K Pro. But after you do the install you have to download SP2,
then Media Player 8, then Explorer 6 for an up to date system.
I hope you are hooked up to cable.
edit: Oh, and Direct X 8.1 if you are into games.
Out of the options you have, I would DEFINATELY say Windows 2000 Pro...but why is XP not an option? I have been running it since beta build 2462, all the way to final, with no problems at all. Anyway, 9x systems, god bless their little hearts, are a thing of the past. Stay with NT stabilty...

well I am no expert on it,but from what I have read on xp,I change hardware and format and play alot with my 4 pc's here at home and that's a problem in the long run with xp,right?
and also I don't like the fact that my os and hardware can be seen more from somewhere else.and I have way too much software that won't work with xp,I don't feel like buying new software.
right or wrong thats how I feel. :)

Win XP Pro corporate is great if you can find it. Activation is disabled.
edit: If you'd like to try XP I have a preview copy that I don't need. Time locked after 10 days but gives you an idea. Send PM if interested.

Bored?
Dude, you can't be bored. Your life is too exciting for that!
I should wipe this hard drive clean and start over. It's been almost 2 years on Win98se. Still going, but going slower. :D
Go w2k,It's just like Xp but no fancy overloaded stuff, and if you like xp looks just install w2k and download the skins that make w2k look like xp.
