My cousin wanted to reformat and reinstall win98se... he has a gateway that had winxp preloaded on it... everything was going fine... we deleted the partitions (he wanted to resize them) then went to create new ones... fdisk only recognizes 10 gigs... We called gateway and they said a program called gwscan would cure the problem but it's on his sys recovery disk at his dorm (60 miles away and closed until Jan. 3rd) I updated the Bios and verified that the mobo sees the full 80 gigs and it does... so why won't fdisk? Is there a parameter I need to input or should I try another prog? Any help would be appreciated... thanks.:)
