I know that you need to close all the l1 bridges to unlock the multiplier but I Was thinking you could probably use teh pencil trick on the l1 bridge which is farthest from the circle pad. If you can sucessfully connect this bridge will it unlock any of the multipliers? or do you have to connect them all to unlock all of them?

I guess it would unlock certain mulies but not all, to get the full control of multies just short all 4 L1s :::: to ||||

I know that, but I was thinking if the last L1 bridge which is the easiet to connect, gave me like 11, 11.5 or something then I wouldn't even need to unlock the rest, I mean 5x multiplier is pretty useless I think,

I can't remember where I saw it, but there was a table showing what mults you enabled when connecting and cutting certain L1's. To most, this would be un-needed. But to those who have no options in bios to select mults, this could be useful.
(I gotta see if I can find that again)

Yup, that's the one....thanks deadhead :D
It doesn't matter anyway because a pencil won't work, it has too much resistance. Believe me I tried it with 5 different pencils all to no avail, so I took 2 hours out of my life and diligently filled the pits with super glue, shaved it flat with a razor blade and taped each bridge off and used condictive ink (zero Ohms on multimeter) and unlocked my 1600+ now I can use any multiplier and any FSB. So after trying many combinations I have found it is now running well at 12.5X133=1667 (2000+)
