Hi

I have a GA-6VTXE Gigabyte motherboard which has a 1gig p3 in it. I have loads of fans in the Lian case and a good heatsink on the CPU.

I have installed Vcool and motherboard monitor and both say the CPU is running at around 41c which i am happy about but I hit the reset switch and booted into my bios to see what the temp was in there and it showed the cpu running at 50c this was within 30 secs of me seeing vcool and motherboard monitor saying it was 41c.

Dose any one have any idea's as to which one of the temps could be true and why the bios temp is much high then the software monitor temp?

Many Thanks

Getting accurate temps is often difficult. In this case, just remember that there is a heavy load on your CPU when you are in BIOS.
