alright i need to find some new headphones, my sony MDR-CD180 are getting pretty old and i stuffed them with 1/2 inch foam rubber that helped some but its time for new ones.
i'm looking for something with a 50mm driver and a frequency response starting under 10Hz, trying to stay away from Sennheiser and i'm looking at a decent $40 mabe more if they are kick ass.
can go either way on a mic and USB connections, but if it has USB it will still need mini-plugs
what do you guys use?
Why do you want to stay away from sennheiser? I really like them

i notice they are a brand that yea they have a few really good sets of headphones and then they just seem to mass market other lines from their company that arent really worth any mension, not to mension i have yet to be impressed with them.
i shoulda bought some audio technia while i was in japan.

This site has Audio Technica headphones for a decent price: http://www.audiocubes.com/
Try this website for some reviews: http://www.headphonereviews.org/index.php
Remember that those reviews are written by people who are very much "audiophiles."

Well, not all of the headphones on that review site are high end ones. Just pick a price point and find something in that range.
