I have been using NVmax for the past 2 years and I haven't really kept up with what is out there, please post which program you are using and what kind of results you get.
Thanks

Winfox Speed runner, which came with my Leadtek GF2 Ti card... haven't had much success OC'ing- 255/459 from 250/401 stock. Changed to detonator 23.11's, and am using a Blue Orb on my GPU plus 4 radioshack aluminum heatsinks on my memory. Arctic Silver 2 thermal paste. 3dmark2001 score of 5246 at 1024x768, 32bit.
I also have Coolbits and Rivatuner, but I haven't installed or used them yet.

RivaTuner version 2.0, best one i got so far. Some other tweakers are also pretty good but i find RivaTuner very user friendly.

I just use coolbits now... got it maxed out at 220/500 stock cooling... I'd use something else and go further but my agp slot is running at 89 mhz... a little nervous:p

RicaTuner, it uses low level overclocking so my card will be overclocked in Linux too.

Low-level is more like changing the vid card BIOS, I'm pretty sure it does that anyways. Low-level is getting more down and dirty with the computer, going more to it's level of communication.

so could I apply the settings I use now with coolbits with rivatuner at lowlevel and not need rivatuner to be running for it to work...
I personally use Coolbits. It's a simple Registry entry that allows you to adjust the Core and Memory of your card. Plain and simple! Get it here: http://www.geforcefaq.com

I use GTU and CoolBits on a Ti 500 and have it stable at 265/580 right now, but I suspect the mem will go further.
Once the new box is built I'll play with the cooling and see how much more I can suck out of it...
