What is better about the pump? (just asking cause from what i have seen a lot of good reviews came from the mag 3)

looks good. I also don't like to mess with fish tank pumps anymore and own a mcp 665. its quieter than my old pump too -- near silent. Other than that your good, but save some money and just get tubing at the hardware store.

Mcp655 you can plug to power supply and turn it on and off with the system. Mag you be running of the wall and power it on and off separately from the system. Mag may need adapters to fit 1/2id tubing, and has higher heat dump than mcp655

mcp655 is great! so worth the money. very little noise if any. speed control. long life. pushes a crap ton of water. low heat. bought mine and made me even better looking.

i have the same rad that u posted up and love it. holds my Q6600 and 8800GT very well. right now GPU sits at 31C cpu sits at 21-20C and cores not reading any higher then 28C. and i have the pump running after the rad.

Petras has the d-tek block in stock after many weeks out of stock.
I would agree on the 655

ok 655 it is, im not sure what other parts i need. those are the major ones, i will put in a reservoir too but what little things i need? hose clamps etc?

Ok my new list:
GPU Blocks x2 :

CPU Block:

Pump:

Rad:

tubing (prolly gonna try and find this local...maybe lol)

All i should need is just some hose clamps, thermal paste, sand paper if i decide to lap the cpu and of course water.

I dont think the hard drive will be a problem since i got a 120mm fan blowing on it as it is and the RAM should be ok, the heatsinks on it are big enough and i can always add another fan
this is my first time so have i missed anything?

If your cooling 2x gpu and cpu in same loop, EK might be too restrictive.

Have you checked using the water flow excel sheet that is around?

Google this:

MartinsWaterCoolingFlowRateEstimatorv2_5

Its not 100% accurate, but gives you an idea on the flow, etc.

what is the best way to determine or estimate how much tubing i need?

EDIT: dang, taking a look at that chart and my setup doesnt seem so great in fact it is on the lower half of "good" flow.

Are reservoirs recommended or is a fill tube sufficient since it saves space etc? from that table it looks like a reservoir lowers the rate of flow decently

OK. I just finished putting together my WC system. All hooked up and ready to go. I am kinda afraid to add water :S
