I know that each one has its advantages but which one would be best for a GeForce3Ti200? I can get my core up to 250, thats the most i tried, maybe i could go for more but i dont really want to push it too hard with that tiny pathetic heatsink. I dont really care if it takes a pci slot, i dont have anything but a network card and my sound card.

Copper 1U heat sink all the way. Orb is for looks.

whats a good one?
id like it under 39db that would perform better then a cyrstal orb.

All IU coolers will outperform a crystal orb

Im not really looking for a performance increase for my GPU, just a better cooling solution compared with the one thats on now.

if youre not going to overclock than the crystal oirb (or any orb for that matter) will be better than any stock gpu cooler

Dissolved, The Mysteries of the OEM Radeon 8500 still have me searching for reasons why some cores run much hotter than others @ Default and O/c-ed

With that said I didnt get a huge Core increase only a small difference, BUT the Alpha Pal 15u on my Nvidia GF2 Ultra made a huge difference roughly 10%-15% Increase in the core speed.

There is also an added benefit if an Alpha pal 15u or 153,

That is the fan disperses air that overflows significantly and cools the ramsinks very effectivly. (I always have my fan Blowing, not sucking as I tried both and blowing is better for me at least)

The reason I went with the Alpha 15u on the 8500 is that I have an OEM, No warranty and it was a prevenative measure to keep the card runnin like a Timex, 'that keeps on tickin'

PS Dont wanna Spent $29 on the Alpha? I found this IU cooler recently that looks decent and is $16:

The Only IU cooler that should be avoided is the Low profile IU golden Orb as it just plain s$cks.

www.tennmax.com has some good GPU coolers. Also work well for chipsets in some cases.

Wally the Tennmax lasagna's dont perform well in fact the BLue orb will easily outperform the Standard size Lasagna

But I did find you a way to buy the $19.99 Lasagna for $3.95 :) (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53847)

I got a lasagna cooler on my Mobo chipset but naturally its not a standard Lasagna as it has a silver base :)

I used that exact cooler on my geforce 3 ti200 and it helped me raise my gpu from 230 to 240 over the stock cooler..i hgly recomended at a decent cost.

http://so-trickcomputers.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv They only ship to US:(

I think im gonna order the Vice cooler in a couple of weeks (christmas has been very hard on the credit card, lol), they ship to Canada. The only thing is, i though they made the Vice III in copper before, now they only have it in aluminum?

Do not get the alluminum. I made that mistake befor getting the copper..its much smaller and looks like it would be a stock heatsink...nothing special if you ask me.
