I posted about this about a week ago, not many replies, but i have since tried some new things. First of all, I have 2 compunurses (in the enermax 5.25" bay mount).

Well my cpu was about 48-49 at idle with good case cooling (25-26C). So I took my hsf off, vacuumed it, cleaned off ASII, reapplied a picture perfect :D layer to the core.

Right now, just surfing around the forums, my temps are 26 case, 45 cpu. MBM says 25 case, 37 cpu. I would love that to be true, but im not sure. I did bend the in socket thermistor up and dab a bit of ASII on it, also. My cpu gets up around 48-50 when running 3dmark, or playing a game.

This just seems too hot with a Glaciator. I'm watercooling soon(waiting for some parts), but I would just like to get my temps down for now, any ideas?

Lap it. That should help lower temps about 4-5C. I have a lapped Glactor II, and just look at my sig to see temps/CPU speed.

ya, figured i might try lapping it. The base has a lot of machining marks on it. we'll see..

if you are using a shim take it off and if you arn't then try using one, a good shim is the tweakmonster purple anodised shim
