windows is not seeing one of my hard drives. it was and then it stopped. the bios does see it but when i load windows its gone. ideas? i have tried to clear the cmos and everything else i could think of. this is a new IDE drive.
When you go:
Control panel > Admin tools > Computer management
See disk management under storage on left.
Does it show your drive there?
If it does, right click it and try assign a drive letter to it.

just 1 hard drive. the 36G raptor. it does not see the cdrom or the other hard drive. when i just hook up just the cdrom it will see that. if i hook up the other hard drive it does not see it. its like it does not see it at all any more when it did.

Do you have the jumpers set correctly for Master/Slave?
