I Have A Gigabyte GA-5AX REV 5.2 SuperSocket 7 Motherboard
That i am building for the intent of over clocking A k6-III+ 550 & I have contacted kingmax on their pc150 if it will run at 100mhz fsb if the board will not aloud the fsb setings to go any higher but if it will go higher it is my understanding that the higher you go with the fsb the higher your AGP bus is & some AGP cards can't handle. but this M/B has A 1x to 2x AGP slot and Gigabyte says to use A low to mid grade AGP Card NOT A high grade AGP becouse socket 7 M/Bs have A problem with suppling enough power to the AGP. so I was looking at A ATI Rage Mobility 128, 8MBs that I seen on A review with this M/B and its fsb was 110 fsbs@5.5 = 605mhz. Here is some spec of the M/B For yall to help me.

Supports CPU multiplier 1.5/2.0....../6.0 for future processors
66/75*/83*/95/100/105*/110*/115*/120*/125*/130*/135*/140*MHz FSB
CPU voltage 1.3V~3.5V
*There speed settings are not guaranteed by GIGABYTE.

120 , 125 , 130 , 135 or 140 MHz because these frequencies are not the standard specifications for CPU, Chipset and most of the peripherals.Whether your system can run under 105, 110, 115,120, 125, 130, 135 or 140MHz properly will depend on your hardware configurations: CPU, SDRAM,Cards, etc.

NOTE: I will be useing A waller cool system.
my first goal setting is 700mhz my 2nd is 780mhz to 810mhz
Call My Crazy But I like the challenge Doing Stuff others my have Not Completed. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR:beer:

Maybe a good PCI card is the answer. I ran a Pine TNT-2 32 meg PCI card with a K6-2+ 475 on an Asus P55t2p4. Of course that board can only go to 500, which it did, and it ran great. I had no video problems.

Rather than repeat it all here, I'd suggest you go to Tom's Hardware, and check out the articles there on running a K6-2+ at 600+. Good luck, and have fun!

Check out the articles at Tom's Hardware on K6-2+'s and overclocking. Yes you will run into that problem. The PCI clock on my old Asus was 41 mhz. This particular card tolerated it with no problem. Go to www6.tomshardware.com.
Good luck.
