Thought you guys might find this interesting. Don't know if anyone else here has raided their boards. These are snippits from a thread entitled: "Stomp of Team O/C at hand! (1,423 to go! get crunching!)"
Well, we stomped Novell and are now 43rd in the world. Team Novel total as of 10:50am CST is 438,598, ours was 441,430! WooHOOO! One more down, 42 to go!
Team O/C is currently at 442,853, and like I said we are at 441, 430! That's a stomp count of 1,423 units! Come one guys! That means we have the oppurtunity to pass them by NEW YEARS! GET CRUNCHING!
And my personal favorite:
given the teams output per day, do you really think it is going to be a problem?
Does that add a little fuel to your fire? :)
BTW, n715dp (one of the big dogs) had a bit of a snafu with the latest WU dump. Don't know how that will impact their status for the proposed overtaking of us by 12/31, but it can't help.

First of all tell your pengiun to lay off the sauce...he looks a little tipsy. Second of all what are you running to get that many units? Just curious.

I was curious what the frogs might say too, but alas during my interview all I got was "ribbit" "bud-weis-er" "hiccup" Now I know why the penguin is about to fall over :D

Bad news OC team - looks like the frogs finally got you. As of 10:30 PST:
Frogs - 444,638
OC Seti Team - 444,221

Not so fast - benz4140 dumped his cache and OC seti is back out in front.;)

Time for everyone to dump, I think. I sent in the 8 or so that I had accumulated since yesterday. I'm going to set for auto-transmit the rest of the day just to help fend them off for a few hours. :D
Just dumped mine... (too bad Jeremy isn't done... that's 33 more WUs) Now we just need to make a thread on this :) Something like "Help your team stay above the frogs till 2002!" :cool:
This is going to be a REALLY close race. Lets just hope the frogs don't start dumping theirs too! :eek:

Well, it's the new year here... Let's hope we've kept the frogs at bay long enough... *crosses fingers, and sacrifices a few of Thelemac's extra chickens* :D

Just dumped my cache too. Oh that's right, I'm a frog.
well i just came back to oc seti team and dumped my cashe... not alot but oh well every lil bit helps

Benz's dump plus some others put us about 1100 units ahead right as they thought they had passed us on 12/31 :D Now we have this year to catch up and pass them again.

I'm a bit stumped on all this "frog" business... I'm still somewhat new to SETI, so pardon the ignorance, but what is a frog?

It is another team. They chose a frog as their mascot I guess. They are currently 41st in the world.
Specifically it's team AMD Motherboard. They kept popping in and bragging about catching up to us. They finally passed us early new years morning.

ahh..ok. Those guys we are neck in neck with...
Once I get some more funds (few months), I will be building another faster rig than what I have, possibly a dual chip rig. When that happens, I will run my current main rig full time SETI and the newest one screen saver, but I'll leave it on a lot. May not be much compared to some of u gents with farms, but i figure it should add about 4 WUs per day to what I'm already doing. Might make a difference in our race against the Frogs lol.
