Currently I manage to overclock my xp1600+ to a pathetic 1.53 ghz. I am stuck at 146 mhz fsb and I really want that 152 mhz fsb to hit 1.6 ghz. I think I might need to up my vcore to hit that fsb but what do you guys think I should do to get that 1.6 ghz mark?

First of all, welcome to the forums!
It would help us all if you would list your system information such as Motherboard, RAM, PCI/AGP Cards, and anything else you have plugged into your system. Temps are also nice to know, too. ;)
Sounds like it could be one of the following.
1. That's as high as you're gonna go. (none of us here like to hear that, so we'll assume #1 isn't what's holding you back.)
2. You're temps are too high. Could be this, depending on your temps and what's happening...
3. Your AGP/PCI bus is too far out of spec. At 146 FSB, you may be pushing the limit of one of your cards. I know I'm stuck at 144 FSB, so this is a definite possiblility. To test this, unplug everything but the video card, and see how high can get (it might be your vid card, too, though.) Again, listing components can help us diagnose this.
4. The overclocking gods may not be smiling upon you. Always a possibility :p
I would recommend unlocking your processor (if you haven't) and try upping the multiplier. 11.5X139, or 12X133 or something like that ought to give you around 1600, and your PCI/AGP buses should be ok with that. Try some of this out and let us know how it goes.

I'll second that NeoMoses.
Unlocking - a necessity to overclock - If I was stuck on 11.5x multiplier I would not be able to acheive the FSB I've gotten !
If you are going to run high voltages - make sure that you have sufficient cooling.
Also remember that Athlon XP isn't the overclockers dream that some imagine.

It really depends on your mobo, and it's PCI/AGP dividers.
The mad englishman (Andy) and meself have EPoX 8KHA+ mobos, with the latest BIOS, which enables 1/5 and 1/6th dividers that most other mobos don't have, letting us use insanely high FSB speeds (Andy's at 216MHz, with a low multiplier, and I'm at 166MHz, using a still-locked XP1500). Basically, the 1/5th divider kicks in at 166MHz, and the 1/6th at 190MHz

Ok these are my system specs. Is it easy unlocking the multiplier though? I heard its pretty hard...Also my temperatures at full load is at 40 degrees Celcius so I feel there's still alot of room to overclock this system :).
