hey everyone.. i've been having this thing lately of wanting to WC my p5k deluxe and my RAM, but not sure what to get, i know it's really not needed but i just want to do it for the heck of it .. my 2 biggest doubts are the block or blocks i should use for the RAM.. 4 sticks in there.. and the block for the SB which is quite tight on space due to the 8800 gtx that is over it..

i figured the SB and NB blocks will probably be the same right? and the 2 mosfet ones also..

so i figured that who better to help me with this than you guys :)

thanks

I would suggest putting a heatsink on the bottom one, it just removes unnecessary restriction and headache of routing that block. For the NB, I'd suggest the Swiftech MCW30, its really low restriction and cheap.

Never watercooled the MOSFETS, so I can't really help you there.

i considered the regular heatsink for the SB but unless it's a low profile one i doubt it will fit and even then i'm not too sure i could put a fan on it to help a little..
here are a few pics so you get an idea oh how much room there is..

the NB and mosfet blocks i think i would go with the one from EK or the one you mention from swiftech if i can find it here in spain.. not easy to find their stuff here unfortunately.. :(

the RAM blocks i'm still not sure i've seen these but not sure if they are any good..

and for the pump i was thinking of the EK-DDC X-RES 100, anyone know how is it?

thanks for the help..

Watercooling the ram is a waste IMHO. Unless you're going to ramp 3+v into the ram, a fan will do just fine.

Chipset waterblocks, on the other hand, have been used. But because of different designs on boards, not too many chipset/mosfets blocks are available.

Maybe you can look around these sites and get a general idea of what you can use for your board:

I can't say how good the EK blocks are as I've never owned one.

I doubt these places will ship overseas, but you can check. Hopefully you'll get lucky and find a place that does.
