M$ control Mac ???

Just wondering, does Microsoft own or control a bit of Mac ? cuz they don't do much sales, and still survive, so it seems a little wierd. :confused: :burn:

no, microsoft does not own any part of mac as far as i know.

Actually I believe that they purchased 300 million worth of Non Voting Apple stock. I think it was some sort of- let's put aside our differences deal. Apple actually sells quite a few systems. Macs are very popular still among graphical artists and the company is still very strong.

i dont think they did that much, its a unix system after all, and they hate everything, no matter how much they try, that isnt m$ft. its just natural, can't blame 'em.

M$ bailed out Apple some time ago, and they would probably be gone by now but for this money...

Frankly, I wish they had let them die a natural death. Instead, Steve Jobs is back out there ripping people off with nice looking pieces of plastic.... oh and let us not forget they still use a ONE button mouse!

Apple was sitting on about 2billion in cash at the time. There were other reasons. One-Jobs wanted MS Office for the Mac. Two-Bill Gates wanted assurance that OS X never became an x86 OS.
