I know there is another UPS lost my package thread, but I didn't want to jump on the OP's thread.

I ordered $230 worth of PC parts for a customers upgrade (motherboard, ram, fans, lights), UPS shows the packaged was delivered. Nothing on my porch, no where to be found. Contacted Newegg (never dealt with this before), they processed the claim and within a week sent a second shipment supposedly requiring signature. Time comes for the second package to be delivered, once again I'm at work (UPS delivery times are unpredictable) I come home and low and behold, no package again. I check the tracking number and it naturally shows delivered.

I contact Newegg again about this, they submit and process the claim. I get a phone call from UPS (this is reguarding the first package) woman is very polite about it and makes mention to me that if this happens again they will require me to sign a form and have all packages require a signature. I tell her lets do that, I want to sign the form. So she says the driver will bring me the form later on that day. He shows up and explains how hes never had a problem in my neighborhood and that he left the package right on the door step. He hands me the form and tells me to sign at the bottom and all future shipments will require a signature no matter what.

Newegg processes my claim and I choose to get a refund this time as the customer has moved on and no longer wants the job done. Today I get another phone call from UPS reguarding both packages, the lady states that I signed a form saying I received the first package. After explaining to her the only form I signed was the one they told me to sign for the signature confirmation she very rudely informs the driver will be by later with a claim form to sign and that there "security people" will come by to do an investigation.

Later on this day, the driver shows up, hands me the form and tells me to sign it stating I did not receive the last package. He then informs me that he'll turn the paper in and that he local police will get involved and be by to do an investigation and wishes me "Good Luck"

WTF is that? I just recently had my car broken into and had a XM Radio stolen, and he is not concerned about leaving 2 $230+ packages on a front porch right at dark? Plus the second package was suppose to require a signature according to Newegg, but UPS wouldn't tell me if it was or not.

Anyone else deal with anything like this? I guess now I'm going to have both the police and their "security people" talking to me and my neighbors. I already asked the neighbors I know and none of them seen anything or have anything so........

I've never had a problem with UPS in the past, and after all this the the stress costs more than the lost package. I did fill newegg in on the details and they said they would investigate the matter further, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

My only suggestion is to use fedex, they wont leave a package if it requires a signature. Also, when you order something, usually there is a comment section regarding delivery. Make sure you say "Require Signature"

im dealing with this crap right now.
i ordered a $150 die grinder from sears and it was offered as a deal which came with a cheesy little 3d sander for 5 bucks.
well i got the cheesy little sander with the packing slip for both items, still havent got the grinder and ive been going back and forth with sears and ups.
they said theres something called a tracer out on the package, but im still stuck with the 150 bill.

At least Newegg was nice enough to refund my money and give me a credit for the trouble. Now UPS is the one causing problems. I don't care if they send the army out after the package, it just sounds like UPS is out to let my neighbors know I'm lying and want to know if they seen me with any packages or anything.

I don't know, Newegg is still investigating so till then I guess all I can do is wait. Feel like I'm standing in a line up and UPS is point their finger at me. As far as I know the UPS driver could have both packages, although I don't want to blame him, I just know I don't have either one.

Maybe they will find both packages and my XM Radio that was stolen a while ago, lol

Ordered a mobo from Newegg and UPS lost the package . I did an online request to Newegg about the problem and they took care of "everything" ; I did not have to do anything further . I received a new board in about 7-10 days after my initial request . For me , Newegg's support in the matter was invaluable .

Yeah Ive heard that. Ive never personally had any packages lost/stolen, but Ive heard newegg is really good in that aspect, usually sending a new package in a few days with out much hassle.

As for Defiants question, I haven't had this problem even though half my UPS packages arrived when no one was home. So you think its a neighbor or someone?

also whats the crime rate in your area? is it high? i mean alot of times some carriers attempt the delivery to the wrong house or lie about it... have you checked your neighbors houses?
maybe the ups guy stole it ? lol

Yeah I checked with the neighbors I know anyway. I don't think the area we are in is horrible for crime. My car was recently broken into and my XM radio was taken (about 3 weeks before the first package came up missing). Its the first time I've ever had a vehicle broken into so...

There are a LOT of school age kids around ranging from elementary to high school, and I've heard them walking through the church parking lot next door to us at 2 in the morning before. It just aggrevates me, I yelled at the FedEx guy back in December cause he just left my packages for Christmas on the porch and never rang the bell or knocked. I just happened to be home that day.

Oh well

As others have said, select FedEx shipping instead of UPS 3Day in the checkout screen, it's a bit more, but after having 2 packages go missing...

I just started out having all of my packages sent to my place of work. Since I work in an office this has not been any sort of a problem and there is always someone there to sign for them :)

Defiant,

The truth will win over insinuations and accusations by UPS anyday. Hang in there, weather the storm.

Looks like UPS should be looking in the mirror for the culprits. And yes, Newegg rocks! :)

Hi defiant79
Did you see any police investigating the case? What was the experience with police? UPS did the same thing to me and now they say initiated investigation by their security and local police.

japss, :welcome: to the Overclockers.com forums.:)

The OP of this thread hasn't visited the forums in over a year, so I think you can safely say that the subject is no longer of interest to him. And on that note, this thread will say "Good night Gracie".
