god damn winamp

i got cambridge soundworks fps 1800 speakers, 4 speakers + sub. I get sound out of each speaker perfectly, but in winamp i can only get it out of the fron right and front left speakers. every other program sends sound through all 4 speakers. any ideas on how to fix this? all connections set, and every program but winamp sends sound through the back 2 speakers. sub works fine.

Try using the Direct Sound plug in. My roommate was getting the same thing with an Audigy and a 5.1 speaker set, and the problem was he was using the Waveout plug in. He swapped it to the Direct Sound plug in, and was good.

thanx man, works great now. what is direct sound anway? sounds like microsoft...
