Hello all!

Got a quick question regarding my GTS G92 and a thermalright HR-03GT mounted on it. The question is regarding temps.......

I think I need a remount.....What do you think?

Case closed with really minimal casefans (CM-690 with whatever came stock on it). No Vmod...all stock Vgpu and Vmem. GPU clocks are 800/1100/1998 for the following tests.

HR-03GT is mounted as per the pictures below with the GPU slipped in between the 2 "legs" of the HR-03GT.

Max temps on a single 3D06 run are about 52-53C.

After 3D01 Nature loop of 20X temps were 61C, and remained at 61C throughout.

After a powerdown and reboot GPU temp is 38C. After said 3D01 nature looping temps didnt get below 46C at idle.

I have a 92mm fan....a Vantex Silent something or another. It sure it quiet yes...but I wonder if its the fan causing poor performance or if a remount might help?

Im going to remount either way....just curious on what everyones opinions are. I assume that everyone agrees that those temps are not whats expected with this GPU and this cooler.

Thx in advance!

Depends on your fan, case air flow, and ambient temps. Your temps are higher than mine were. Try it with the case side off and a house fan blowing into case. Run tests again. I used a 120mm Yate Loon set in bios to run at low speed constantly. Try another fan. I had my HS on the other side, so the fan would blow on the Mem etc HS, but I don't think that matters in this instance.

Try a reseat too, let us know.

I did have a mounting issue the first time I used that cooler. I thought it was on there right, but while re-seating it, I noticed that the x-bracket wasn't fully snapped onto the HS base.

I have a pretty good fan (Panaflo 92mm) on it as well as very good case flow. Iirc I idle in the upper 30's, and get up into the upper 50's or sometimes lower 60's depending on what game I'm playing, and the ambient temp in my room. This is w/ a 1.35v-idle v-mod, though.

Its definitely much lower with the case open, but Im trying to simulate real world applications rather than what can I do for a short bench session to lower temps.

Any other ideas on these temps appreciated.
